Medavie EMS and Canadian Forces holds Graduation

Medavie EMS and the Canadian Forces will be holding a graduation ceremony on Thursday, November 5th, 2009 at 1000 hr at the Champlain Ballroom of the Ramada Crystal Palace Hotel in Dieppe.

The ceremony marks the successful completion for twenty six Canadian Forces medics of the new Advanced Emergent Care (AEC) program held recently at the Atlantic Paramedic Academy in Moncton.

Soldiers from across Canada attended a six week training program to enhance their current skill set of emergency medical procedures. The AEC was developed by the Canadian Forces Health Services to provide Qualification Level 5 Medical Technicians with advanced skills and knowledge to enable them to manage life threatening airway and circulatory emergencies.

Candidates who complete the Qualification Level 5 (AEC) training at the APA may be deployed into a variety of operational settings and static units. Medavie EMS has a strong track record in the design, development and management of emergency medical services. Medavie EMS believes in building a culture of care and providing service excellence. Medavie EMS is also committed to making the Atlantic Paramedic Academy a world-class academic institution.
